God’s Valentine
“But God clearly shows and proves His own love for us, by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8 AMP
When we think about the Bible we think of how difficult it is to read. However, the Bible is truly a love letter to us, it appears complex because God’s love for us is so extravagant that it exceeds our own human understanding. In this scripture the Apostle Paul reminds the Church in Rome that God demonstrated His love for us that while we were not perfect He chose to love us regardless of our imperfection.
See His love for you is not dependent on how perfect you behave He simply loves you as you are which is why He gave His life up to have you, so that you can spend eternity with Him. God reminds us in the book of Psalm that He has such wonderful thoughts for us that even if you counted each grain of sand in the ocean it would still not equate to His abundant thoughts of you. Another scripture says that the hairs on your head each and everyone of them are counted and not one falls without God knowing. You are loved, more than you can think or imagine, rejoice in this great love for it cast out all fear! Let’s say happy Valentine’s Day to God first, give Him a kiss first and then we will be able to love our friends, partners, and family members a lot more with His love!
~ Father God, thank You for loving me just as I am. I know Your love is eternal and always growing. Help me to love you back in this extravagant way so that I can reflect and give Your love to others and let everything I do be done in love for Your glory. In Jesus name amen!
