Decisions that stem out of love
“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.” Colossians 3:14 NLT
There was a Christian girl in a fitting room trying on a new pair of pants. Next to her she overheard two girls discussing how messy the fitting room was and how people had thrown all their clothes on the floor leaving it for the worker to come clean it up. One of the girl asked, “well what should I do?” The other one said well just throw the clothes you won’t buy on the floor like everybody else did. When the Christian girl was leaving the fitting room she had cleaned her section and hung up all the items leaving it even better than before.
The girl who asked the friend “what should we do?” Saw the Christian girl picking everything up in her room and said, “do you work here?” And she said “no, I just feel bad and can’t bring myself to leave a mess for the worker to come clean it all up herself.” When you walk in love you are operating in a supernatural way. Your day to day decisions will stem out of love and everyone will be blessed around you. Love is selfless and seeks the best for others and this is what Jesus did as He went around cleaning up the mess people had made. Lead a life with love that demonstrates the overwhelming kindness Jesus has shared with us.
~ Heavenly Father, thank You for selflessly giving up Your life for me. I get to walk in love because you loved me first. Let all my decisions reflect who You are. In Jesus name amen!
