Consider not what you see

“He did not weaken in faith when he considered the [utter] impotence of his own body, which was as good as dead because he was about a hundred years old, or [when he considered] the barrenness of Sarah's [deadened] womb.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭AMPC‬‬‬‬

When Paul was writing to the church in Roman he reminded them of an exemplary man whose faith pleased God—Abraham. He did not grow weary on his journey nor did he lose faith as he waited God to provide him with his miracle. It is critical to understand that Abraham did not consider his own circumstances or the limitations of his human nature to not have a baby with Sarah. Instead Abraham believed in God evermore so greatly.

This is a reminder for you as well today. Consider not your situation or current limitations. What appears as something impossible to attain in your life, don’t even think about it. Do not give those thoughts filled with doubt take occupancy in your heart leaving no room for faith in God. Place your trust in Jesus today, remember that it is not by what you see or feel but the power of our faith In Jesus Christ. In this very act of faith of believing in Jesus you shall see the powerful hand of God move in your life!

~ Heavenly Father, thank You for another day. I am grateful that I have the chance to see the sun in my life. I will walk by faith and not by sight considering not myself but focusing on what You can do! In Jesus name amen.
