Build and Prosper
“Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered.” 2 Chronicles 14:7 KJV
After God had blessed the Israelites and specifically told them not to get involved with certain people they still decided to go seek after other fake gods. As a result, they were held in captivity and lived oppressed for years. Fortunately there came a king around in Israel who set things right by taking down those idols and putting God where He belongs—first!
After they sought the Lord they were inspired to build cities, walls, and so much more!Perhaps you look back on your life and you realize you are not where you thought you would be. Maybe you hung out with the wrong crowd, made poor choices, and got lost in the weeds. However, God never lost sight of who you were called to be and your dreams. This scripture reminds us that regardless of how far behind we think we were God has made a way to make us prosperous and blessed. With Him you are able to build brand new dreams and goals that will exalt you into the purposeful life you were called to live. So look up for the land is set before you, all your dreams and goals are still a Go! You are not too late because God is never late!
~ Father God, thank you for loving me and making me your child. Even when I thought I lost track of time You have kept me in Your perfect time. I believe and now I receive that I am equipped to build newness of life in every part of my life! Let my life honor You in every way. In Jesus’ name Amen.
