Your Purpose
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Our first thought when we think about power is wealth, or people held in high positions in our society. We think that we will receive power or respect when we are well off and successful. This is far from the truth. We receive power and authority when we allow Jesus Christ to direct our lives, as we receive His Holy Spirit by faith we are strengthened and equipped with all that we need to fulfill our purpose.
Although you may feel powerless in a current situation where you think there is nothing you can do about that family member in the hospital, that co-worker that’s giving you a hard time, or the mere thoughts that won’t let you sleep at night; our steadfast assurance in the Lord prevails for He has provided all that we need through His spirit. So today walk in that power and take back your authority in your life and for your families for you were called for greater things! Now go be the light of this world and tell someone about Jesus Christ and you’ll see this power manifest in your life.
~ Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Holy Spirit. I believe and now I receive that power and authority You have granted me through the Holy Spirit. Help me walk in Your name boldly, so that I may witness Your power firsthand in my life and all over the world. For your glory. In Jesus’ Name Amen!
